Discus
Since their introduction into the hobby in the 1930’s, Discus have been treated with near reverence, no other fish have produced such an array of colours in so many combinations equalling the vibrant marine fish in splender. Many have dubbed this fish King of aquarium fish.

With its fantastic colours and stately behaviour it is hard to disagree. There has been much mystique about how they should be kept, unfortunately this frightens off prospective discus enthusiasts. A healthy discus even in poor conditions will usually outlive many aquarium fish, but I suppose if you have just forked out $ 100.00 for a fish you certainly want your money’s worth and if you follow a few simple procedures you will find they are not that hard to keep.
